We seek love, only to lose ourselves in it

There she meets Michael, a solitary man who has built his life around a place created for the woman he once loved. Over the course of a single day, their playful confrontation turns into an unexpected intimacy. Two people with opposite ways of dealing with love - one constantly running from it, the other refusing to move beyond it - begin to challenge what the other believes about relationships, loneliness and the possibility of starting again.

Amalia arrives alone at Lemniskata, a quiet lakeside hotel hidden away from the world. In the middle of her fourth failing marriage, she has grown accustomed to escaping relationships whenever they begin to feel like another version of the same mistake.

The protagonists embody opposite responses to love: Amalia keeps running from relationships, while Michael has stopped looking for another one
